Fees and Financial Assistance 2010-2011 Academic Year Fees
1. An application fee of $115 must accompany each application for admission. 2. Financial arrangements for the training analysis are made privately between the student and his/her analyst. 3. Fees for tuition and supervision will be billed bi-annually on July 1st and January 15th, with due date of August 1 and February 15th respectively. First year annual charges will be $4,770. Second year annual charges will be $5,845. Third year annual charges will be $5,845. Fourth year annual charges will be $5,845. Fifth year annual charges will be $5,630. Sixth year annual charges will be $5,630. Seventh year annual charges and on, will be $1,110. Ladder students on full leave of absence (no classes/supervision) are charged $250 per year. Ladder students on partial leave of absence (taking tutorial and/or seeing therapy case) are charged $500 per year. Pre-Ladder students (including scholars) on leave of absence are charged yearly matriculation fee of $645. Please see financial policy details on pg. 20 of the Outline of Student Progression.
4. There is no extra tuition for courses taken in the Child and Adolescent Program by a candidate already registered in the Adult curriculum. All other child/adolescent candidates pay the tuition applicable to those courses, which is $920 per course. Supervisory fees for Child Analysis are charged after candidates graduate from the adult program and are arranged privately with the child/adolescent supervisor. Members who take courses in the Child and Adolescent Program for credit, as well as qualified guests, will be charged the regular tuition. 5. The graduation fee is $395.

Financial Assistance Financial assistance for students in the analytic training program is available through the Institute. Funds for covering up to 50% of the annual combined tuition and supervision costs may be available. Interested students should inquire by calling the Institute Office for further information. All applicants for financial assistance will be considered without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex, marital status, disability, or sexual orientation. Interested students should contact Ms. Sharon Weller, Administrative Director. In addition, financial assistance may be available from the Little and Hymowitz Fund of the American Psychoanalytic Association. Please contact the American for an application. CME Credits Students taking the full complement of courses during any year may receive 50 Category I Continuing Medical Education credits for that year from the American Medical Association.
