The Arnold Pfeffer Center for Neuropsychoanalysis ![]() The Neuropsychoanalysis Program grew out of the activities of the Psychoanalysis-Neuroscience Study Group, which was founded in 1990. The main public meetings continue to be held at 10:00 a.m. on the first Saturday of every month (excluding January, July, August, and September). Presentations on topics of interdisciplinary interest are made by leading neuroscientists, followed by discussion by Dr. Mark Solms and then by the audience. These meetings are open to all. In addition, smaller research groups have been established to explore various issues in depth. The topics and group leaders are: Neuro-Imaging of Psychoanalytic Treatments (Robert Scharf, M.D.); Psychopharmacology (Jaak Panksepp, Ph.D.); Clinical Studies in Neuro-psychoanalysis (Mark Solms, Ph.D.); Body Image (Eleanor Galenson, M.D., Lawrence Kunstadt, Ph.D.). Members, associates, or candidates interested in joining any of these groups should contact Dr. Solms.
