To find a psychoanalyst in the New York metropolitan area, contact The New York Psychoanalytic Institute or click on the link corresponding either to our Private Referral Service or to the Treatment Center Referral Service.
You may also contact the American Psychoanalytic Association in New York City, via its online roster, or printed roster available at most medical school libraries, to obtain the names of analysts in this and other vicinities. A number of analysts are capable of conducting analysis in languages other than English. For those who cannot afford private fees, treatment is available through The New York Psychoanalytic Institute Treatment Center and other American Psychoanalytic Association member institutes at lower cost. Psychoanalysts in training - who are already experienced therapists - will negotiate their fees according to the financial needs of the patient. In addition, many graduate analysts, where indicated in the interests of the analysis, treat patients at reduced rates.
